 Bread Making

I have been making some bread. It has been so fun making them. So the last few days I made three different kinds of bread using baking soda and baking powder, or one of them. These are two of the three that I made. I forgot to take a picture of the cinnamon bread. I did use organic bananas also.

I was so lucky that I got to spend Halloween with him. We had such a fun day. Because of the Covid-19 this year we really could not go trick or treat at a lot of houses. I took him to 4 different friends' homes. Took pictures of him in front of their houses. The look on his face was so sweet. I will never forget it. 

 

Cake

 I have been learning how to decorate a cake. I went on youtube and watched a lot of how-to videos. I read some books that I had at home. I then made a cake and decorated it. It turned out ok. I will continue to get better at it. This is it.

I thought that I would make a birthday cake. 

 

cheese Making

 My friend and I did some cheese making yesterday. We made 5 different kinds of cheese. Manchego, Queso, Blanc, Farmer Cheese, Mazarella, and Burrata cheese. we are still aging one of the cheeses. but the others are so yummy. My favorite is the Farmer Cheese.

Gently squeeze the cheesecloth to press out as much as the whey as we can.

 Crochet

I have been Crocheting some washcloths for Christmas gifts for a low-income housing building. Several ladies are helping with this project. In this post, I am going to teach you how to make one. I will not teach you the basic stitch, I hope you will already know them. If you do not know them, then go to youtube there are good how-to videos that can teach you.

1.chain 26

2. At the end count back 2 and go into the 3 chain stitch and then do double crochet all the way to the end.

3. When you at the end chain 2 and go into the 3rd hole and double crochet and 2 chains. 

4. You will repeat this for a total of 14 rows.

5. You will then go around the outside of the cloth with w single crochet. 

6. You have done it, I think it takes me about 5 hrs for me to do it. But I am slow.

leather Work

 Leather work

 I have been doing some new things lately. I decided to do some leatherworking. The first thing I need to do was learn about the different tools need for what I was going to make. I then learned the tanning process and what kind of leather I was going to use for my project. I went shopping and found everything I needed in a kit. I was so happy when I found it, it was just what I wanted. I made this crossover bag. It is the right size for my phone when I go hiking. 

This is the supply that I need to make it. I did have to get my own glue and a magnifying glass in order to complete it.

 I have been busy. I started to do some mosaic projects. I did two this far. It is very easy to do but time-consuming. the first one was on a rock I found in my backyard. I did a dragonfly on it and then did an outline of yellow glass around the edge. the second one I did a mermaid. She is so cute.

I thought I would share some things that I have been doing. I went on a walk and did some bird watching, Tree identification, and looked at horses. I also organized a litter removal with a group of people. It was such a fun day

I joined this group. I am having so much fun doing the merit badges. It has been a long time since I have done any blogging. So the merit badge I am working on now is the blogging one. I am inspired to start it again. This is my first entry.
